The Falcon Lake UFO incident is a famous Canadian UFO sighting that occurred on May 20, 1967, near Falcon Lake, Manitoba. It involves the account of Stephen Michalak, a geologist who was prospecting for minerals in the area when he reportedly saw two disc-shaped objects in the sky. One of the objects landed nearby, and Michalak approached it out of curiosity.

As he got closer, he heard a hissing sound and felt a blast of hot air, which caused his shirt to catch fire. He claimed to have seen a door open on the craft and peered inside, seeing strange hieroglyphics and panels of flashing lights. He also claimed to have been burned by the craft’s exhaust and suffered from radiation sickness for several weeks afterwards.

The incident was investigated by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Canadian military, but no explanation was ever found for the strange encounter. The incident has since become a famous case in ufology and has been the subject of numerous books, documentaries, and podcasts.
