Spread the love

Episode Notes

Not to be topical or anything, but all during the summer of 2019 we were getting geared up to Storm Area 51–and that’s great and all, but I thought that Hangar 18 at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton needed some love, so here we are. In this episode, we examine the history of the notion that there’s a place the government takes saucer debris, the emergence of “Hangar 18” itself as an idea, and the ways this has poked through in various parts of the saucer culture over the past few decades.

I spoke about the “Storm Area 51” nonsense on NPR’s “It’s Been a Minute” a couple months ago. You can hear a bit more about the Aztec crash waaaaay back in Bonus Encounter 1.
