Sharon A. Hill is an American science writer who has researched reports of strange natural phenomena for over 30 years. For the past 15 years, she studied the interaction between science and the public, specifically how science is used in paranormal investigation. She has a degree in Geosciences from Penn State University and a Education Masters degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She has written for the Fortean Times and the Skeptical Inquirer, among other publications, and in 2017 published her book Scientifical Americans: The Culture of Amateur Paranormal Researchers. She currently writes about spooky geology – the intersection between fringe and paranormal beliefs and earth sciences.
