In conmtinutaion to Part 1 – The History, we follow up with this week’s ‘Hauntings’. Again, we are honoured to have been able to record in one of the most exotic and original hotels Winnipeg has to offer; The Mariaggi Hotel. voted one of the North America’s most romantic hotels, is truly a magical place and one of Winnipeg’s best kept secrets!
We speak with one of the owners, Loell, who tells us of one of their long-term residents – John Heatherington, who lived there for possibly 40 to 50 years and passed away in the hotel. Loell believs that technically…..John never reallly ‘checked out’ because he loved the place that much Oh, if those walls could talk!
