Rudolf Diesel, the German engineering designer who invented the famous engine that bears his name, went missing whilst at sea on his way to a conference in London. Diesel’s body would be found nearly two weeks later and ultimately ignite a spate of conspiracy theories that remain to this very day. So what exactly happened to Rudolf Diesel?
