Many of the urban legends and stories we tell about involve creatures that range from the scaly to the hairy. They do have one thing in common, however, in that they are animals. What about those that involve the plants? It is as though we see the forest but neglect the actual trees within.

Many of the most bizarre encounters involve plants with the ability to move, eat, and even speak. With as little as we really know about the various species of plants growing in our own backyards, it is not that impossible that some of the most amazing cryptids may be the green kind.
