The Historically Haunted Riel House

Nothing says Christmas like a historic Manitoban tale. Today we pay respects to Louis Riel: The founding Father of the province of Manitoba, Metis Leader and Canadian Politician.

He was many things to many people fighting for the rights of his people and leading the way to freedom and recognition for the Metis Nation.

We go back to the 1800’s and discuss his Mother’s homestead, Julie Riel, and where the house still sits today on River Rd – which is a National Historic site and is a tourist destination through Parks Canada.

They says its haunted…..but by who? Jas and Sher, your Audio Curators, discuss the history and hauntings that are known to take place at this humble little preserved Metis structure that sits along the banks of the Red River in Winnipeg, MB. Travel back with us in time, as we discuss all things haunted.

We would like to wish every a very (Scary) Merry Christmas!
