Self Awareness can be embarrasing and painful.  Seeing all the ways you are sneaky, manipulative, critical etc is not pleasant. Yet seeing ourselves in this way can bring about profound healing. Knowing why you do what you do is key to change. 

You can look at all the ways you shut off, deny etc.. with humour and kindness. Everyone has their weird little ways of dealing with their life.  Understanding yourself leads to understanding others.  

Gaining Wisdom about yourself leads to sharing that wisdom to help others.
