Nite Callers Radio Interviews Rand Trusty Bigfoot Researcher
Rand Trusty was born in 1962 in Washington state just southwest of Mt St. Helens, He was taught at a very young age the way of the woods. He started shooting firearms while still very very young, and tagged his first deer and first elk at age 12. That is, or was, the youngest you can be in Washington state and hunt legally. By that time he had been taught much of what he knows now. Tracking, animal sounds, edible plants and mushrooms. More than basic survival skills for certain.
As a child growing up in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, h had, of course heard of bigfoot. Some called it Sasquatch. He pretty much called it hogwash. It had to be Native American folklore he thought because he simply spent too much time in the woods. If they were real, surely he would have seen one by now. Those were his thoughts at the time. It all changed in short order, and he wasn’t even in the woods hunting. He was driving his truck on a state highway, at night, in the summer of 1984.
