July 25, 1977, in Illinois started with a family picnic but would end with a terrifying encounter as 10-year-old Marlon Lowe is attacked by a giant bird with a wingspan of almost twenty feet. It would lead to discovering a history of a creature able to create thunder with a flap of its wings and ability to carry off men and children alike.
