Haunted Fort Mifflin, Part One | Guest Beth Beatty

Spread the love
Fort Mifflin in Philadelphia is a national historic landmark. It is one of the only intact Revolutionary War Battlefields and the only fort in Philadelphia. It was commissioned in 1771, and in the fall of 1777, it was bombarded and captured by the British. Hundreds of soldiers were killed or wounded in the brutal attack.

In a visit to Fort Mifflin, you would not only stand on a Revolutionary War battlefield but also be inside a Civil War Prison and next to a magazine storing gunpowder during World War II. With a rich history like that, it’s no surprise that Fort Mifflin is also haunted. In fact, it is widely regarded as one of the most haunted sites in America.

In this episode, we’ll explore the history of the Fort and who might be haunting it with the Executive Director of Fort Mifflin, Beth Beatty.
