A naturally occuring oubliette, hmmm how convenient, I mean terrible, yes terrible!

The Murder Hole was first published in February of 1829 in Blackwoods Edinburgh magazine.

Catherine Sinclair – was most famous for being an evangelical philanthropist and author of childrens tales, guide books and advice columns, she did manage to throw in this little tale of scottish terror!
