Episode 111: Bigfoot Bookshelf feat. Matt B. Hooks

Spread the love

Matt B. Hooks is a dyslexic author who learned how to face and overcome his fears of reading and writing. He went on to earn his Master’s degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa to become a special education teacher. It is now his mission to reach out to those who are at risk of developing a “learned helplessness” attitude towards reading. He has written the book “Enormous Norm Goes to School,” about a boy named Dean who helps his Bigfoot friend learn important social skills. In this episode, Mark and Andy talk to Matt about his life experiences and why he chose Bigfoot to be a central character in his latest work.

But first, the guys give their reviews of Vince Dorse’s “Untold Tales of Bigfoot” graphic novel. Suffice it to say they have their fingers crossed for a Volume II.

Matt B. Hooks’ books can be found on Amazon, and you can write him at authormattbhooks@wordpress.com
