Welcome to Episode 101 of Let’s Get Haunted! Today’s story takes place in the village of Enfield in the U.S. state of Illinois. Enfield is an extremely small town, located about 5 hours south of Chicago, taking up a total area of only 1.19 square miles, with a population of just under 600 people. So, you might be asking yourself, why do we care about this little tiny town in the middle of nowhere? Well, in 1973, Enfield, Illinois was at the epicenter of one of the most famous American cryptids, known simply as: The Enfield Horror or The Enfield Monster. What was The Enfield Monster? Something natural like a bear or wolf with mange? Or something supernatural like a cryptid, ancient spirit, or alien? You decide.
