We all know what a crazy so n’ so Henry VIII was. Our first story tells of how Elizabeth I’s father created his own religion (the Church of England) in order to gain divorce power without needing the Catholic Church’s sanction. His second marriage was to Elizabeth’s mother, Anne Boleyn. Anne had quite a zany experience during her short reign as Henry’s wife, but left her mark before her execution at the Tower of London. Our second story is of Tarrare, a French showman with an absolutely insatiable appetite. Known to eat full meals for ten men or more, his condition, while never causing him to gain weight, shocked many. The government even tried to figure out a way to use his skills to their advantage.
