We’re still flying high from our live-show, and we’re also remote recording! (so please forgive the audio quality).
This week’s first story comes with a **trigger warning** because Stephanie is talking about the “Troubled Teen Industry”. In the early 2000-2010’s you could find “troubled teens” all over daytime television (catch me outside, how ’bout that?). But the darker underbelly are the “schools” that exists to help “fix, or cure” these teens. Basically one big campus of Scared Straight, these schools are known for snatching kids in the middle of the night to whisk them away where they will be broken down until deemed ready to re-enter society. ……messed up right? ….well, what if we told you that many of those schools are still open and running to-this-day….
Sarah ends things on a lighter note with a ghost story from Dead Man’s Canyon, Colorado. After getting an axe to the forehead, William Harkins was rightfully pissed. So pissed, that he decided to stick around and dish that piss poor attitude out to any passerbys. Sometimes throwing riders off their horses, tossing them in the creek, or just sprinting toward them: William Harkins is not a ghost you want to meet. And now that I think about it, he also has an axe STILL in his head!
slight **trigger warning** on Sarah’s story – www.doesthedogdie.com —– let’s just say, the canyon should have been called “Dead Man’s (Best Friend) Canyon.
